Tunnel 13, 2993 feet long, is part of the steep 3.67% grade on the southern side. The northern portal is located at the summit, where there once was a small railroad settlement "Siskiyou", with siding, turntable, and everything that was needed for helper operation. The pictured CORP freight has reached the summit, and is now going to descend towards California.
