The track loops down from the Black Butte siding with a grade of 2.2%, from upper right to lower right on this photo. The industrial district was located to the left, outside of this view. Today, there is a plant of Roseburg Lumber, but it is a small one in in comparison to the boom days, when Weed was the regional center of a lumber industry with lots of logging railroads around.
