The Siskiyou pass has 3.3 - 3.67% of grade on the southern side, 3.3 - 3.4% on the northern side. Helpers were used between Hornbrook, CA, and Ashland, OR. This picture shows Train No. 16 in Hornbrook, preparing for the climb.
