In 1994, the last year of Southern Pacific operation, there were still Rio Grande tunnel motors on the Siskiyou Line. This one is pictured a few miles west (Southern Pacific east) of Grants Pass. Even though this curve has a radius of only 550 feet, and is the sharpest curve in the area, there is no noticeable superelevation.
