The circle viaduct near Brusio is one highlight of the Bernina railroad, 38 miles of meter gauge between Tirano in Italy and St. Moritz in Switzerland. Due to the height difference between the stations Tirano (1411 feet) and Ospizio Bernina (7392 feet), an unusual alignment was necessary.
