When the railroad line on this picture was reactivated, it wasn't clear, wether a rural community of 500 would get a new station. The village lobbied for it, did its best to lower the cost, and the shortline "AKN" built the station in less than two months. The platform was wisely located at a level crossing. This avoids an overpass for pedestrians. Due to accessibility requirements, the price for such bridges has skyrocketed. Disadvantage: 20 - 30 seconds of additional waiting time for cardrivers, if a train stops at the platform before crossing.
