In August 1973, the northbound Tampa/St. Pete section of Amtrak 6 "The Floridian" still travels in the colors of the Seaboard Coast Line. The depot of Clearwater was a building at East Street, the trains stopped there, and car traffic between depot building and train was prevented during passenger boarding.
